Who do we support?

 

People are referred because:

 

  • Those seeking asylum in the UK are living under the poverty line.

  • Those seeking asylum are not allowed to work.

  • NASS support has been terminated either incorrectly or in line with government policy.
  • Their asylum claims have been refused and support terminated.
  • They are a young person “leaving care”.
  • Their cases have previously been refused but have submitted either further representations or a new application to the Home Office, and are awaiting a decision.
  • They are at risk of detention and/or deportation.
  • They have suffered domestic violence & or sexual exploitation, & have no recourse to public funds.
  • They are refugees who are still experiencing problems accessing services within the local area.
